Tuesday Farmer’s Market at Barnyard Shopping Village Returns May 15th Through Late September
CARMEL, Calif. - May 9, 2007 - The Barnyard Shopping Village in association with the nonprofit, Monterey Bay Certified Farmer's Market will host a weekly Farmer's Market each Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain or shine), beginning May 15, 2007 and running through late September. This will proudly mark the third year of the Farmer's Market at The Barnyard Shopping Village, Carmel. The Monterey Bay Certified Farmer's Market, now celebrating its 31st anniversary, will provide a variety of local growers, from throughout the tri-county area, the opportunity to sell their organic produce to the local community.
The Barnyard Farmer's Market has rapidly gained popularity in the area, particularly within the Carmel, Carmel Valley and Big Sur communities. Some of the various agricultural products available include fresh olives, fruit, vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, and organic honey. The Barnyard also hosts special events in association with Monterey Bay Certified Farmer's Market. This season will include SPCA pet adoptions every other week as well as the affiliations with Carmel Sober Grad and CHOMP blood donations.
