PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. - June 3, 2009 - Central Coast Senior Services, Inc. (CCSS) has announced that Alan Terry, one of their Home Care Coordinators, has become a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA®). Terry earned this distinction after recently passing the exam offered by the Society of Certified Senior Advisors(TM).

As a Home Care Coordinator, Terry develops individualized care plans for each client which may consist of personal care, daily routine assistance, meal preparation, light housework, grocery shopping, and home maintenance. He monitors highly trained CCSS Personal Attendants who follow the care plan and conduct home care for the client. He has over 11 years of experience in managing care for clients and earned a bachelor's degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Terry joined CCSS in 2002.

The Society of Certified Senior Advisors® (SCSA) is the world's largest membership organization educating and certifying professionals who serve seniors. It strives to educate professionals to work more effectively with their senior clients and to understand the key health, social and financial factors that are important to seniors and how these factors work together. To be eligible for the CSA exam, professionals must have completed certain levels of education and/or experience related to the field of aging and working with seniors. In addition, professionals who hold the credential must adhere to a professional code of conduct, the CSA Code of Professional Responsibility, and the SCSA Membership Rules.
