Barnyard Shopping Village Hosts 18th Annual Art & Wine Festival

Local boutique wineries, flavorful cuisine and unique works of art

CARMEL, Calif. - May 31, 2007 - The Barnyard Shopping Village will host its 18th Annual Art & Wine Festival on Saturday, June 16th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy local entertainment, stroll through the award-winning gardens, explore Barnyard shops, visit with local artisans, and pair delicious wines with the diverse world-class cuisine of the Barnyard's restaurants and cafes.

The event will also include live music by Trusting Lucy, two local women from Pacific Grove who write and perform their own original music. In addition, Barron Mercedes will be showcasing two unique automobiles. Also, new to the Barnyard Art & Wine Festival will be a sprawling exhibit of the works of renowned sculptor, Richard MacDonald.

This year's elegant affair coordinated by James Kellogg, food and beverage general manager of Tehama will feature Barnyard artisans and merchants, a silent auction to benefit two local charities, and 20 California premier wineries. Some of the visiting wineries include, Talbott, Pelerin, Figge, Mann Cellars, Bernardus, J.Lohr, Lockwood, Martin Ranch, Tolosa, Tin House, Kathryn Kennedy, Tudor, and Otter Cove.

The festival's silent auction will proudly benefit Girls, Inc. and The First Tee of Monterey County. Girls, Inc., a local nonprofit is dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold through educational programs. The mission of First Tee of Monterey County is to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.
