Win a Romantic Dinner for Two at the Sardine Factory and a Night at the Monterey Bay Inn
Monterey, Calif. - February 8, 2005 - The Sardine Factory, located at 701 Wave Street on Cannery Row, is celebrating love by designating February as Romance Month. While everyone knows that February 14th is special, The Sardine Factory is convinced there is too much love to celebrate in only one day.
The Sardine Factory's salute to romance begins with a spotlight on sparkling wines and champagnes. Cellar Master Marc Cutino has selected two special wines from the more than 30,000 bottle wine cellar to pair with a romantic dinner. If a truly remarkable French champagne is to be enjoyed, Marc suggests an affordably priced non-vintage 1985 Audoin de Dampierre-Cuvee des Ambassadeurs, and for sparkling wine, a 1998 J Schram by Schramsberg, Napa.
As part of Romance Month, The Sardine Factory will also feature its own star search competition for the most romantic story that has taken place at the restaurant. Guests are asked to write about their personal experiences of romance at The Sardine Factory and may include any occasion, whether an engagement, anniversary, or simply a wonderful romantic evening that was especially memorable. Every letter received will be read and an acknowledgement will be sent.
The grand prize winner will receive dinner for two and a one night stay for two at our sister hotel, the Monterey Bay Inn. The Monterey Bay Inn has just completed a $2 million renovation, with spectacular ocean view rooms featuring marble bathrooms and custom interior design.
The entry deadline for letters to be received is February 25 and should be sent to Gina Hinds at ghinds@canneryrow.com or mailed to her attention at 765 Wave Street, Monterey, CA 93940. The grand prize winner will be announced on March 15 through local media and also on www.canneryrow.com.
