'tis the Season for Spca Adoptions at the Barnyard
SPCA Offers Pet Adoptions & Holiday Behavior Training for Dogs
The SPCA has dogs and cats for adoption, as well as cute pet supplies and SPCA gift items for sale. The adoption center will be open during the following days and times, with more December dates to be added (for the most up-to-date schedule, please visit www.SPCAmc.org):
Saturday, November 18, 11:00 a.m. — 2:30 p.m.
Saturday, November 25, 11:00 a.m. — 2:30 p.m.
Monday, November 27, 11:00 a.m. — 2:30 p.m.
Friday, December 1, 11:00 a.m. — 2:30 p.m.
Sunday, December 3, 11:30 a.m. — 3:00 p.m.
The SPCA Adoption Center at the Barnyard will also offer a special class designed to prepare pets for the hustle and bustle of the holidays. The class begins November 28 and takes place over four consecutive Tuesdays at 11:00 AM. Owners will learn how to teach their dogs good behavior for the holiday season, such as refraining from jumping on guests, stealing food from the table, or barking at the doorbell.
The class costs $90 for SPCA adoptees and $100 for the general public. Dogs five months and older are eligible, and class size is limited to six dogs. To sign up, please call the SPCA at (831) 373-2631 or 422-4721, ext. 222, or go to www.SPCAmc.org.
