The Campaign for the Preservation of Mission San Antonio de Padua Welcomes Two New Board Members
KING CITY, CALIF. – The Campaign for the Preservation of Mission San Antonio de Padua Board of Directors is pleased to announce the addition of Rick Harris and Al Parolini of King City to the organization's Board of Directors.
Parolini is a retired business manager, having worked in the transportation and agricultural industry, within the greater Salinas Valley for the past forty years. He began his career in 1978, working for Southwest Truck Service in Watsonville. In 1991 he joined Meyer Equipment Company in King City. In 1998, he was named Chief Operating Officer for Meyer Tomatoes and continued in that role until 2005, when he became general manager of Coastal Tractor, a multi-branch agricultural equipment dealership operating in the greater Gilroy, Salinas Valley & Paso Robles.
Throughout his professional career Parolini has given back to the community. He is a Board member in the Far West Equipment Dealers Association; Chairman of the Diesel Technology Advisory Committee at Hartnell College; Past President & Treasurer of Christians in Commerce, the Salinas Chapter and served in various other roles for the Salinas Valley Aquatics Development Foundations and the Salinas Community Pool Foundation.
Harris is Director of Grower Operations for Mann Packing Company in Salinas. His family lineage can be traced back to the early days of California and the days of Father Junipero Serra's establishment of the early missions.
Harris is a charter member of the Salinas Valley Heritage Foundation and currently serves as Vice President. Previously he was President of the Foundation and a past member of the King City Young Farmers. For the past 14 years, Harris has coached Junior Varsity Football at King City High School.
Also serving on the Campaign for the Preservation of Mission San Antonio de Padua Board are David Armanasco, Ann Beckett, Richard Casey, Margaret Duflock, Most Rev. Richard J. Garcia, Susan Gill (chair), Nate Holaday, Carol Kenyon, Rupert Lyle, Clem Richardson and Joan Steele.

The Campaign for the Preservation of Mission San Antonio de Padua Foundation was formed in 2010 to fund the retrofit repair and the preservation of the structural integrity of the historic and beloved mission. The Foundation’s intent is to raise funds to ensure that this landmark, an important piece of California’s history, is saved, so that visitors and the greater community can experience this historical treasure and its inspiring serenity for years to come.
The Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation and independent from any religious organization. All contributions to the campaign for the preservation of Mission San Antonio de Padua are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
