Dr. David J. Chard will present a day-long workshop on Teaching Strategies for Building Fluency: Gateway to Fluency. This workshop is the perfect place for parents and educators to learn more about recent reading research, assessment tools for measuring student fluency, and strategies for increasing reading speed and fluency. Dr. Chard is an Assistant Professor at the University of Oregon where he serves as Director of Graduate Studies for Special Education and as the Director of Middle-Secondary Teacher Education.
