Seaside Highlands Sponsors Toy Drive Benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County

SEASIDE, Calif.-This holiday season, Seaside Highlands and The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County are teaming up to help spread holiday joy to the youth of our community through a toy drive. The Seaside Highlands Toy Drive will take place November 24 through December 17, 2003 as new, unwrapped gifts are collected for boys and girls ages seven through 18. Sponsors include: KB Home, Bakewell Homes, KION, KCBA and ClearChannel Radio.

"We are very excited to have the opportunity to be community partners with Seaside Highlands in bringing holiday cheer to our local children. This toy drive is a great way to make a difference in the life of a child this joyous season," said Donna Ferraro, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County.

Drop boxes are located at the following locations: Boys & Girls Club Seaside Unit, 1332 La Salle Ave., Seaside; Boys & Girls Club Salinas Unit, 85 Maryal Drive, Salinas; Seaside Highlands Sales Office, 4750 Sea Ridge Ct., Seaside (Off Coe Ave.); Seaside Fire Department, 1635 Broadway Ave., Seaside; and Seaside Police Department, 440 Harcourt Ave., Seaside.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County has played an integral role in the community for over 40 years, providing daily programs and services to nearly 800 young people in their Seaside and Salinas Clubhouses. Over 95 percent of the budget  supporting the two Clubhouses comes from generous individuals, corporations and foundations. The Clubs are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. during summer and school breaks, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. when school is in session.
