First of Several Thanksgiving Meals to be Provided for Many Local Community Groups

SEASIDE, Calif.-The Seaside Kiwanis Club in partnership with Seaside Highlands will be serving an early Thanksgiving dinner to residents of the Villa Del Monte Senior Complex in Seaside on Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at 3:00pm. Turkey and all the fixings will be provided for the residents in the Community Room at the Villa Del Monte Complex. This Thanksgiving celebration is the first of many community activities KB Home/Bakewell has planned for its Seaside Highlands community during the holiday season.

Seaside Highlands will be partnering with local service organizations and clubs, providing Thanksgiving gift baskets with turkeys and all of the fixings. Recipients include: the residents of the Salvation Army's Casa de Las Palmas Apartment Complex, residents of the Villa Del Monte Complex, the Monterey County AIDS Project, local churches and a variety of outreach programs.

Additionally, in keeping with the holiday spirit of sharing and giving thanks, KB Home has made ten $1,000 donations to each of the Northern California Food Banks. Locally, the Watsonville Food Bank will be presented with their $1,000 gift next Tuesday, November 25, 2003 during the Holiday Harvest celebration, which will be broadcast live on KION 46.
