Monterey, Calif. - October 5, 2005 -Santa Catalina School, based in Monterey California will be participating in the Mayfield Junior School Information Night, Monday, October 17, 2005.  The event, sponsored by the Western Boarding School Association and Mayfield Junior School, will take place in the gymnasium at the Mayfield Junior School, 405 South Euclid Avenue in Pasadena at 7pm.  Local independent schools and boarding schools from across the nation will be in attendance.  Santa Catalina currently has sixteen students from Los Angeles County representing cities such as: Pasadena, Los Angeles, Pacific Palisades, San Marino, La Crescenta, Carson, Monrovia, Montrose, Glendale, Rancho Palos Verdes and Arcadia.

Now in its sixth decade as a modern, independent educational institution, Santa Catalina School enjoys a heritage rich in spiritual values and in devotion to teaching young people. Santa Catalina School serves students in a coeducational environment from PreK through 8th grade and young women grades 9-12 in an upper day and boarding school. The Santa Catalina campus includes a professional-level 500-seat Performing Arts Center, library, science laboratories, classrooms and lecture halls, state-of-the-art computer technology, Chapel, dance and music center, assembly hall, dining rooms, and a Health Center. The Bedford Family Athletic Complex offers a gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis courts, track, and athletic field. Resident students live in three dormitories, each of which houses 55 girls.
