Santa Catalina School to Hold Wine Tasting & Auction October 14
Annual benefit with Mercedes-Benz raffle supports financial aid
MONTEREY, CALIF. - October 12, 2006 - Santa Catalina School in Monterey, California, will hold its 25th Wine Tasting and Auction this Saturday, October 14, beginning at 5:30 PM. The benefit celebration is held each year to raise funds for student financial aid.
The evening kicks off with a wine tasting and silent auction, followed by a festive seated dinner that will feature, in addition to a traditional live auction, the raffle drawing of a 2006 Mercedes-Benz. The car is a donation from Bill Stahl, a former trustee and father of three Santa Catalina alumni. Auction items range from student artwork and rare bottles of wine to stays in vacation homes.
The benefit is being co-chaired by Jeanette Kihs and Ann Patterson, who together have four children attending Santa Catalina School. The generous support of parents, alumni, and friends over the last 25 years now enables 30% of Santa Catalina students to receive financial aid.
