Salinas Welcomes Its Newest Low-Income Housing Development

WHAT:
Mayor Anna Caballero will officially welcome the addition of Plaza Grande to the Salinas Valley. The grand opening of this low-income, 91 unit, single-occupancy housing project has been much anticipated by the local community and new residents. Plaza Grande is a quality housing community for single adults on a limited income. The Housing Authority of the County of Monterey will manage the property for Silverie Properties. The Housing Authority will work with and place eligible residents, and will maintain the property. Amenities at the property include private studio apartments, computer room, exercise room and a community room. The property is conveniently located near downtown Salinas with access to shopping and transportation.
