Restaurant Pacific Group, LLC Unveils Plans for a New Restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf
Renovation Plans Include a Unique Multi-use Design for the Building and Will Showcase Stunning Harbor Views
Monterey, Calif. – Restaurant Pacific Group, LLC's Managing Partners Sabu J.R. Shake and Chris Shake announce an exciting new addition to its extensive portfolio of restaurants. Scales Seafood and Steaks, a new restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf, is scheduled to open in Spring of 2015. The restaurant will be located on the east side of the wharf where Gilberts was previously located. This new restaurant will provide the perfect dining experience for locals and wharf visitors. The complete remodel and renovation will include a large upstairs room to serve as a formal banquet facility with indoor and outdoor seating.
Designed with an open-air atmosphere, the restaurant design includes glass doors and seamless windows along the front entrance and bay side of the restaurant to allow for views of the beautiful Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary throughout the restaurant. The plans for the main level include an expansive dining room with an oyster bar and cocktail lounge and there will be outdoor dining available on the wharf in front of the restaurant. For a more casual café style dining experience, plans for the building also include Scales Deli Market which will offer various freshly made salads, sandwiches, pizzas and desserts diners can enjoy in an outdoor seating area on the harbor side of the building. To the left of the restaurant entrance will be Scales To-Go, a walk up hot food take out counter that will feature various made to order items from the main restaurant menu.
"Whether your looking to enjoy lunch or dinner in the restaurant, a casual bite to eat while people watching on the wharf, or a quick grab and go meal, we will truly have something for everyone," said Managing Partner J.R. Shake.
The building renovation plans were designed by Monterey's Wald, Ruhnke and Dost Architects and the work will be completed by Dry Creek Construction based in Seaside. Construction will begin this month and is expected to take approximately 5 months.
Scales Seafood and Steaks plans to serve lunch and dinner daily and the market and to-go counter will be open daily as well.
