CAMPBELL,Calif. - RE InfoLink, the online multiple listing service (MLS) provider for 5 counties from San Mateo to Monterey, announced to its approximately 18,000 subscribers that it had successfully completed the implementation of its business continuity infrastructure. The project entailed moving the company's data center to a co-location facility managed by Equinix in Silicon Valley, thus improving the reliability and security of information that InfoLink maintains for its subscribers.

The hosting of the InfoLink data center at Equinix is a part of a larger business stabilization effort initiated during 2004 that includes improvements to the call center operation, the MLS database, and the software applications used by the area's real estate agents for accessing the MLS. The goal of these initiatives is to ensure that REIL's customers receive uninterrupted service and accurate information. The announcement signifies another major milestone in the business turnaround at InfoLink since a problematic software transition of the summer of 2003.

Commenting on today's announcement, REIL interim Chief Information Officer Peter Spicer said, "This achievement was the result of outstanding teamwork by the InfoLink technical team and our partner Equinix. We have indeed made great progress this year and look forward to continuing to improve service for our customers in 2005."

The first major upgrade of 2005 will be an industry-standard RETS-compliant database with improved tax and area information, expected to be delivered during the second quarter.

RE InfoLink, located in Campbell, California, is the multiple listing service (MLS) for five California counties. InfoLink provides MLS products and services for real estate professionals and maintains a large MLS database with more than 8,000 active listings and over one million historical records. Formed in 1994, InfoLink is wholly owned by the real estate community.
