Pepsi Teams With Cannery Row for a Family Fun Event
MONTEREY, Calif. - Cannery Row Company and Cannery Row businesses are proud to announce they are pairing with Pepsi on Sunday, May 2, to throw Pepsi's Cannery Row Block Party from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and invites everyone to enjoy a day of fun including food, music, shopping and entertainment, all along one of Monterey's most scenic streets.
Cannery Row, between Hoffman and David Avenues, will be lined with 47 Cannery Row merchants, and 16 restaurants. The whole family will enjoy strolling performances consisting of jugglers, clowns, stilt walkers, balloon artists and musicians and the Monterey Bay Lion Dancers, as well as musical performances on the Steinbeck Plaza Stage by Chop Tops and Red Beans and Rice. The Ghirardelli Sundae- Eating Contest will bring smiles to the Steinbeck Plaza Stage, mid-day. A Children's Stage will include magic shows and performances by Mary Lee Sunseri, and kids will find nearby activity booths and face painting loads of fun. Sports fans of all ages can test their skills at the Oakland A's pitching booth and shake the fin of the San Jose Sharks' mascot, "Sharkie." After the event, visitors can enjoy Cannery Row's boutique shops and wide array of restaurants and nightlife. All proceeds from the Pepsi booth sales will be donated to Monterey County Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Cannery Row Foundation.
