Monterey County Young Professionals Group Hosting Fabulous Holiday Gala in December
MONTEREY, Calif.-After an overwhelming response to their first mixer in early October, the Monterey County Young Professionals Group (MCYPG) is hosting a Holiday Gala on December 7, 2002 from 7 p.m. to midnight - generously sponsored by the Carmel Mission Inn and featuring fabulous wines donated by Blackstone Winery.
The MCYPG is an organization formed to offer networking opportunities to business professionals in their 20s and 30s residing in Monterey County.
The group was developed by Catherine Bowie, Lisa Piotrkowski, Elizabeth Ruese and Jessica Spitz of Armanasco Public Relations, Inc. after hearing many of their peers report their desire to develop contacts among other young people in the area who were serious about their careers. The idea was reinforced while conducting research for a client project in which top Monterey County area influencers were interviewed. Many of these community leaders reported the need for "the next generation to step up." The MCYPG seeks to help fill this gap by providing young professionals with the occasion to meet and mingle with their peers, and foster relationships and business development in a sophisticated, relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
The semi-formal Holiday Gala will be held at the Carmel Mission Inn at a cost of $25.00 per person. The evening will feature a poolside cocktail hour with live music by the Stevenson School jazz band followed by dinner, music and dancing provided by Dance Trax Deejays. Reservations are by check only (made payable to the MCYPG) and can be mailed to MCYPG, 456 Washington Street, Monterey, CA 93940.
