CASTROVILLE, Calif. - May 17, 2010 - Joe Piedimonte of Ausonio Inc. has worked as a green building consultant on the CORE Construction Office Building in Las Vegas, earning it Gold LEED®-New Construction certification. This is the first time Piedimonte, a LEED® AP , has applied his expertise to a project outside of California, demonstrating a growing demand for Ausonio's green building consulting services. The Las Vegas project was also the first LEED project completed by Ausonio Inc built by another construction company.

The CORE Office Building received LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), one of the two highest LEED rankings. LEED is the United States Green Business Council's leading edge system for designing and constructing sustainable, energy efficient and high performing buildings. The CORE Construction Office Building in Las Vegas boasts sustainable features such as pervious concrete and solar panels that offset 18% of the building's energy demands. To facilitate the certification, Piedimonte completed the LEED documentation and developed sustainable programs such as green cleaning for the facility.

Ausonio, Inc. has achieved great success in the field of green building and green building consulting. One of these accomplishments was building Chartwell School, the first LEED Platinum K-12 campus in the nation. Piedimonte is now working on several LEED certifications projects locally and from Napa to Nevada.
