Local Firm Attends International Public Relations Conference

Armanasco Public Relations Sends Team to Annual PRSA Conference in New York City

MONTEREY, Calif. --This week representatives from Armanasco Public Relations, Inc. returned to Monterey after attending the three-day 2004 Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) International Conference held in New York City.

The conference was billed as the world's largest gathering of public relations professionals with over 3,500 attendees, including 100 international registrants. Representatives from large to small-sized agencies gathered along with corporate, non-profit and public sector public relations practitioners to discuss topics related to the conference's 2004 theme, Architects of Change, Advocates of Understanding: Advancing the Public Relations Profession. Speakers at the conference included Donald Trump, Al Roker, Larry King and The New Yorker columnist and author, Ken Auletta. Additional presentations were made by industry guru, Hal Rubenstein, President of Rubenstein and Associates and Grace T. Leong, President of Hunter Public Relations.

Attending the conference from Armanasco Public Relations, Inc. were General Manager, Elizabeth Diaz and Managing Directors, Catherine Bowie and Lisa Piotrkowski. In addition to presentations made by top industry experts, master classes and workshops, the conference offered panel discussions with journalists including national newspaper editors, reporters and wire service representatives from Reuters, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and the Associated Press; national news and business magazine editors and reporters from Time, U.S. News and World Report, Business Week and Newsweek; as well as major network television show producers from "Live! With Regis and Kelly," "The Tony Danza Show," and "Late Show with David Letterman."
