Get the Scoop! Holiday Ice-Cream Eating Contest on Cannery Row
MONTEREY, Calif. - Cannery Row's season-long holiday celebration continues Sunday, December 8, 2003 at 12:00 p.m. with "Sundaes on Sunday" ice cream eating contest at Ghirardelli Chocolate Shop located in Steinbeck Plaza at 660 Cannery Row.
The sundae eating contest will be judged in three categories according to age: 12 years and under, 13 - 18 years, and adults. All participants under the age of 18 must have parental approval and supervision. Each winner will receive a whopping 10-pound bar of Ghirardelli chocolate.
"'Sundaes on Sunday' is perfect complement to the holiday shopping experience on Cannery Row," said Cannery Row Company Director of Marketing Diane Mandeville. "The competition promises to be a lot of fun. We are really looking forward to awarding Monterey's next ice-cream eating champions!"
The contest will take place from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Contestants are encouraged to come hungry and prepared to survive the holiday's ultimate brain freeze. Call 831.372.2259 for more information.
