CARMEL, Calif. - August 2, 2006 - Euphoria Med Spa is set to open its doors Thursday, August 3, at the Barnyard Shopping Village. Euphoria, which in Latin means "healthy well being," is the first and only medical spa of its kind in Carmel. Clients can kiss that razor goodbye with laser treatments for all skin and hair types, or improve confidence with skin therapy and products for sun damage, wrinkles, spider veins, texture, and tone.

Owner Cliff Johnsen and clinic manager Patricia Beltran envisioned Euphoria as a medical spa that offers clients a relaxing experience from start to finish. As a result, Euphoria's inviting reception area will include anti-oxidant teas, electronic massage chairs, and tranquil water fountains.

"We want to give clients a relaxing experience that doesn't resemble a doctor's office," Beltran said. "From start to finish, we want to put our clients at ease by making their entire experience at Euphoria a memorable one."

Euphoria offers non-invasive alternatives to plastic surgery in a comfortable environment. Unique services include medical-grade, semi-permanent lash extensions and a dye-free, amino acid tanning enhancement-a melanin-based product that reacts with skin to match each client's natural tan tone.

Euphoria features prescription-strength skin treatments to improve conditions ranging from photo damage and discoloration to rosacea and acne. The spa also offers Epicuren, a state-of-the-art enzyme skin treatment designed to increase elasticity, firmness, and skin tone.

Special group events at the spa will include teen workshops on maintaining healthy skin at an early age and seminars on all systems offered in Euphoria's inviting spa environment. The spa has a medical director who is always available to answer questions. Registered nurses perform all laser treatments and an esthetician offers extended aesthetic services.
