Monterey, Calif. - June 2, 2005 - Emmy Award-winning, DuPont-Columbia and Gracie Allen Award-winning journalist, Ms. Catherine Crier, will be the keynote speaker on June 4 at 2 p.m. at Santa Catalina School's commencement ceremony.

Crier previously anchored Crier Today, which debuted in January of 2000. In addition, she has hosted Court TV's signature prime time series, The System, and numerous other specials including Court TV Investigates: The Laci Peterson Murder, Serial Sniper, The Investigation, Osama Bin Laden on Trial and Safe Passage: Voices from the Middle School, part of the network's public affairs initiative Choices and Consequences.

In addition, Ms. Crier has recently released her second book, A Deadly Game: The Untold Story of the Scott Peterson Investigation this past March. Her first book, New York Times bestseller The Case Against Lawyers, was released in March of 2002. Prior to her accomplished career in television journalism, Crier presided over the 162nd District Court in Dallas County, Texas as a State District Judge. When she took the bench in 1984, she became the youngest elected state judge in Texas history.

Santa Catalina's commencement ceremony will be held at Sullivan Court on the Santa Catalina campus. This year's commencement will honor 67 young women hailing from five states and six countries. The Santa Catalina graduates will be continuing their educations at a variety of top schools, including Harvard, Yale, Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA and UC Davis, to name a few. Casey Sedlack, senior class president from Sun Valley, Idaho will present the invocation, and Jessica Hightower from Carmel will deliver the benediction.
