Dinner to Honor Bert Cutino, Cec, Aac to Be Held October 11
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. --On Monday, July 22nd, 2002 Bert Cutino received the Chairman's Award at the American Academy of Chefs Dinner that was held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas at the Annual American Culinary Federation's National Convention.
The Chairman's award is given each year to an individual for their contributions to the profession, who certainly represent the high esteem of the American Academy of Chefs, which is the Honor Society of the American Culinary Federation. The Academy is made up of 800 members out of the over 25,000 members of the ACF Nationally. The American Culinary Federation is the premier chefs association in the United States and it has the certification program that certifies cooks and chefs and also has the only apprenticeship program nationally that is accepted by the United States government. The headquarters of the American Culinary Federation and the American Academy of Chefs resides in St. Augustine Florida and was founded in 1929, and has flourished significantly throughout the years with the recognition of professionals in the hospitality industry, especially in the culinary profession which includes chefs, cooks, pastry chefs, bakers, etc.
On Friday, October 11th, 2002 the American Academy of Chefs invites you to honor Bert P. Cutino, CEC, AAC, Chairman of the AAC Honorary Board of Trustees for his contributions to the culinary profession and the community. The event will be at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club, 17-Mile Drive, Pebble Beach. The reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner. This is a Black Tie or Semi-formal occasion (tie please). Tickets are $135 per person. $25 of the dinner price for each ticket sold will go to the "AAC Balestreri/Cutino Scholarship Fund". (AAC is a 501C foundation and is tax deductible).
