Crossroads Shopping Village Continuing to Offer First-Class Service During Renovations
* An expanded parking lot with new landscaping and lighting;
* A new retail shops building adjacent to the existing Longs, designed to complement the existing architecture of the new Safeway and Boulevard shops;
* A storefront remodel of Longs Drugs designed to complement architecture of the new Safeway; and
* Exterior remodel of the animal hospital and adjacent shops to match the existing Boulevard shops.
Additionally, Carmel Valley Partners and Safeway are working together to relocate the John Garth mural to a new location within the Crossroads Shopping Village. The mural will be displayed next to Longs, as part of a new pedestrian walkway that will lead to the adjacent Boulevard shops and cafes.
Remodeling the former mall area, Longs and animal hospital building, along with the demolition of the old Safeway store, is currently in process. In late November 2006, the expanded parking area in front of the new Safeway store is expected to open. The remainder of the shopping village remodel will be completed by mid-year 2007.
