Coastal Cuisine With Tene Shake Expands to the San Joaquin Valley
Monterey Peninsula-Based Cooking Show Airing on KJEO Channel 32
Born and raised in the "Sardine Capital of the World," Tene Shake grew up exploring commercial fishing boats, seafood processing plants, and great restaurants on the Monterey Peninsula. Restaurateurs and fishermen from historic Fisherman's Wharf taught him the secrets to creating unbelievable seafood dishes. Tene utilizes his unique upbringing to unleash a seafood extravaganza daily on Coastal Cuisine with Tene Shake. Each mouth-watering episode focuses on a different bounty of the sea, caught only a few miles from his kitchen on the Monterey Peninsula. While preparing delicious seafood delicacies, Tene is able to educate the public and foodies alike on what to look for when buying seafood, take viewers through the preparation process, and promote the use of sustainable seafood products, which all of his restaurants utilize. His goal is to ease viewers' fear of preparing seafood at home.
Many of the dishes prepared on Coastal Cuisine with Tene Shake can be found at his three Signature Restaurants on the Monterey Peninsula: Isabella's Italian Seafood & Steaks and Cabo's Wild Mexican Seafood on Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey, and Lattitudes at Lover's Point featuring Loungitudes Bar in Pacific Grove, as well as on his website, www.coastalcuisine.com.
Coastal Cuisine with Tene Shake made news earlier this year by winning bronze in the 27th Annual Telly Awards. The show is produced by award-winning producer/director Phil Dean. He has worked for clients such as Adobe Systems, The Gap, Banana Republic, Bank of America, and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
