City of Seaside to Host Groundbreaking Ceremony

The City of Seaside, Colonial Partners, LLC and Ausonio, Incorporated
WHAT:
The City of Seaside will host a groundbreaking ceremony launching the construction of San Pablo Court, consisting of 12 single story, single-family detached dwelling units. These units will front private streets, sharing a small common park area with visitor parking. Four of the units are to be built for "very low to low income" families. Two of these units will offer 931 square feet with two bedrooms and one bath, while the other two units will offer 1,242 square feet with three bedrooms and two baths. The eight "moderate income" units will offer 1,309 square feet with three bedrooms and two baths.
The City of Seaside's Redevelopment Agency is legally obligated to fund affordable housing developments with tax increment funds that have been collected through the years. The purchase of this development qualifies for the use of these funds. Initially intended to be a private project with manufactured housing units, the project is now a public-private partnership. The Redevelopment Agency will purchase the units after construction is completed by Ausonio, Incorporated, the project designer and construction manager.
