Santa Cruz, Calif. - January 6, 2010 - Chaminade Resort & Spa and Boys & Girls Club have announced the winner of the Family Road Trip vacation giveaway, a Benchmark Hospitality Hometown Hospitality(TM) initiative providing complimentary vacations to deserving families.

Members of the local Boys & Girls Clubs were encouraged to write a letter stating why their family deserved an expense paid vacation for 5 days at Chaminade Resort & Spa. The Resort received a number of applications and the Executive Committee along with the Benchmark home office, paired the entries down to one winner. The winner is:

Tamvy Thien Pham, 4th Grade

Tamvy Pham submitted the application on behalf of her hard working mother who is an inspiration to her and her sister. The Pham family truly value hard work, education and community involvement. While they have had a rough year, the Pham family has not lost sight of continuing to give back to their community by volunteerism and maintaining a positive attitude when times get rough.

The Pham family will spend a much deserved 5 days at Chaminade Resort. Chaminade is delighted to have the Pham family join the Chaminade crew and participate in a Hometown Hospitality event in 2010.

The trip can be planned at any time and includes 5 days at the resort, deluxe accommodations, breakfast, lunch and dinner all three days for the entire family, a $100 gas card, use of all recreational amenities at the resort and access to local attractions.

Since giving is as important as receiving, as part of the Family Road Trip Vacations Hometown Hospitality initiative, Benchmark Hospitality has requested each family participate in four hours of service to their local community, side-by-side with the Benchmark Hospitality staff.
