Monterey, Calif. - July 20, 2006 - Young professionals from throughout Monterey County and beyond are invited to come and celebrate local young leaders and find out about a diverse range of leadership activities available right here in their backyard during FORUM FOR THE FUTURE, slated for Thursday, September 7, 2006! Hosted by the Central Coast Young Farmers & Ranchers, Salinas Jaycees and the Monterey County Young Professionals Group, FORUM FOR THE FUTURE is the first event of its kind, creating opportunities for tomorrow's leaders!

This event will feature five Monterey County based young professionals, whom will be telling their stories about the steps they took to get involved locally and what it has done for their family, career and community! In addition, local non-profits, municipalities and community-focused groups will be present with information on how to get involved.

Whether it's joining the board of a local non-profit, running for elected office, volunteering in your community or becoming more involved in hot-button issues, FORUM FOR THE FUTURE is the chance to learn more.

This FREE event will take place at Laguna Seca Golf Ranch at 10520 York Road, Monterey, CA 93940, from 5:30-7:30pm. In addition, appetizers and fine wines will be hosted.
