Celebrate Bicycle Transportation During Bike Week 2005

April 14, 2005
The Transportation Agency for Monterey County will hold its 11th Annual Bike Week celebration from May 15-22. A Bike Festival as well as Bike to School and Bike to Work sites from Aromas to Monterey to Greenfield will draw County residents together to promote bicycling as a way to decrease traffic congestion, protect the environment and provide a healthy means of transport for commuters of all ages.

Bike to any of our 17 Bike to School and Bike to Work sites throughout Monterey County on Thursday, May 19, and enjoy a free breakfast! Then come to the Bike Festival, the grand finale to Bike Week, on Sunday, May 22, and celebrate the power of the bicycle with our Bike Rodeo, Bike Expo, and special bike rides with C.A.S.A and the Velo Club of Monterey. Conveniently located at Window on the Bay Park, right by the Monterey Bay Coastal Trail, the Bike Festival is an event you will want to attend! For additional information, contact TAMC at (831) 775-0903, visit the Bike Week website, www.Bike2Work.com, or send an e-mail to bikeweek@tamcmonterey.org.
