Carmel Hills Care Center Administrator Jarrod Christensen Selected for National Future Leaders Program
The California Association of Health Facilities announced today that Jarrod Christensen, Administrator with Carmel Hills Care Center in Monterey, has been chosen by the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) as a member of the 2025-2026 Future Leaders program. Selected participants demonstrate both leadership potential and represent the interests of the long-term care and post-acute care profession. Christensenwill join 39 other leaders from around the nation for AHCA/NCAL's 20th Future Leaders program, a year-long program that offers training and guidance for industry professionals. He is the only participant selected from California.

Christensen has served as the Administrator at Carmel Hills Care Center since 2016. He began his career at Carmel Hills in 2008 as a CNA, later becoming director of admissions before earning his administrator's license. Jarrod oversees non-clinical operations and advocates for skilled nursing locally and statewide as the regional chair of the California Association of Health Facilities. He especially enjoys giving tours to families and sharing what makes Carmel Hills Care Center unique.

AHCA/NCAL developed the Future Leaders program in 2004. The program covers the latest theories and practical applications in quality management, customer satisfaction, and leadership. The year-long program kicks off with the "Future Leaders of Long-Term Care in America" Symposium held this week in Washington, D.C.
