Cannery Row Tree Lighting Ceremony to Kick Off Holiday Season
MONTEREY, Calif. -Cannery Row's 10th annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, once again, promises to be an unforgettable event. This year's celebration features a 25-foot tree overlooking Monterey Bay and Cannery Row, wonderful musical entertainment and the arrival of Santa Claus to properly usher in the holiday season.

WHAT:
The Monterey Peninsula's Christmas season will officially commence with the lighting of the 25 foot Christmas tree in Steinbeck Plaza. Cannery Row will be transformed into a glowing, enchanted wonderland. Local dignitaries and Cannery Row personalities will be present to welcome the community. Festivities will include a magical appearance by Santa. A complimentary souvenir photo, courtesy of Cannery Row Marketing, will be available to children who visit with Santa Claus. Holiday music performed by Bayview Elementary's "Bear Tones," Russ Guarino's Holiday Quintet and the Joyful Tidings Carolers.
