Cannery Row Hosts Cherry's Jubilee 2001 Show ‘n Shine
MONTEREY, Calif. -This years' Cherry's Jubilee car-show festival will feature more activities than ever before on Cannery Row. Cannery Row will be closed to traffic all day Friday, September 28, 2001 to showcase Cherry's annual Poker Run and Show 'N Shine events. Over 1,000 vintage automobiles are expected to turn out for the celebration.Cannery Row will prove once again to Cherry's participants and spectators that "The Row" is the perfect backdrop for this classic event! DJ's will be stationed at Steinbeck Plaza and in the parking lot across from El Torito to provide musical entertainment. In addition, various Cannery Row merchants will award their favorite cars with personalized commemorative plaques.As with every year, Cannery Row promises to be lined with classic cars 25 years and older, including American and European cars and trucks. This spectacular display is great fun for families and car enthusiasts alike.
