Cannery Row Hosts 28th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting
Join Santa Claus on Cannery Row for a festive Monterey favorite
Cannery Row will kick off the holiday season in Monterey with the 28th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 25, 2022. This FREE event is open to all.
Get into the holiday spirit with family-friendly festivities to be held in Steinbeck Plaza. Free Red Engine Rides around Cannery Row will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until 5:00 p.m., with live music and entertainment from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., including Christmas Carolers, holiday music with KMBY Radio, and of course, a visit from Santa Claus.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony and Santa's arrival will begin at approximately 5:45 p.m. in Steinbeck Plaza. Following the ceremony, children will be able to meet Santa Claus in his house in Steinbeck Plaza. Bring a camera to get a free photo with Santa!

4:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. – Holiday Music & more with KMBY Radio
5:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. - Tree Lighting in Steinbeck Plaza
6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. -Visit Santa Claus in his house in Steinbeck Plaza and bring a camera to take a free photo!
Event parking is available in the Cannery Row parking garage located at the intersection of Foam and Wave Streets.
And remember, families and children of all ages can visit Santa Claus for FREE in his workshop — Saturdays and Sundays through December 18th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
