Cannery Row Company Announces the Promotion of Erik Uppman to Vice President of Marketing

Erik Uppman has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing for the Cannery Row Company by Mike Zimmerman, President of the Cannery Row Company. In his role, Uppman will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies for Cannery Row and the Sardine Factory Restaurant, including digital marketing and advertising.
"Erik has been a true asset to the Cannery Row Company marketing department since joining the company. He is an intelligent, experienced marketing professional and we are delighted to announce his well-deserved promotion," said Zimmerman.
A Monterey Peninsula native, Uppman attended Pacific Grove High School and graduated with distinction from CSU Monterey Bay with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Uppman's career in marketing and advertising took him to Detroit and San Francisco where he worked as an advertising executive at agencies including Campbell-Ewald, J. Walter Thompson, GTB, Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, and Questus. Over the years he has had the opportunity to work on national campaigns for brands like Chevrolet, Ford, MINI, RadioShack, Nokia, Starbucks, and Capital One.
In 2014, Uppman returned to the Monterey Peninsula and joined the Cannery Row Company as Senior Marketing Manager and was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2017. Erik will be replacing Diane Mandeville who resigned after 19+ years with the Cannery Row Company. "It has been a pleasure to have Diane with us at the Cannery Row Company. We appreciate all of her contributions over the past 19 years." said Ted Balestreri, Chairman and CEO of the Cannery Row Company and co-owner of the Sardine Factory Restaurant in Monterey, California.
