CARMEL, CALIF. - August 22, 2006 - A new wireless boutique at the Barnyard Shopping Village in Carmel, California, will offer phone sales and services from Verizon, Sprint, Nextel, and Amp'd Mobile, as well as satellite radio and TV. Called Extreme Wireless, the store will also carry handheld devices such as DVD and MP3 players, iPods, and navigation and GPS units.

At Extreme Wireless, customers can purchase XM radio for their car, a dish satellite for their house, wireless internet, or a PDA that acts as a phone and portable video game player. In other words, any and all wireless products sold here.

Extreme Wireless is determined to differentiate itself from corporate wireless retailers and big box stores by providing an extremely high level of personalized service. Owners Doug Kalpakoff and Kirk Rossmann were associates in a previous cellular business, and came to the conclusion that a cellular retailer should be both cutting edge and service-based.

"We're going to do what others won't," said Kalpakoff. "If you come to us with a problem, we'll personally solve the problem for you. That's not what corporate phone companies do." Kalpakoff has 22 years of retail management experience, with the last 12 years in the cellular field.

The store opened for business this month, and plans to host a catered grand opening celebration in mid-September. A second Extreme Wireless will open in Morgan Hill this summer, with expansion into the Central Valley to follow.
