Barnyard Shopping Village to Host Community Blood Drive on June 20
CARMEL, Calif. - June 5, 2006 - The public is invited to a community blood drive on Tuesday, June 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Barnyard Shopping Village during their weekly farmer's market. Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP) will be on site with their Bloodmobile and staff.
Blood donors will receive five farmer's market dollars, as well as the chance to win a $25 Barnyard dining gift certificate, compliments of the Barnyard and the Monterey Bay Certified Farmer's Market.
No reservations are needed to donate blood; however, appointments can be made by calling the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula's Blood Center at (831) 625-4814. Blood donors are advised to eat breakfast or lunch and drink fluids before donating. Snacks and fluids will be available for donors.
