Barnyard Shopping Village to Host Community Blood Drive August 15

Donors Will Receive Farmer's Market Coupons

CARMEL, Calif. - August 1, 2006 - The public is invited to a community blood drive on Tuesday, August 15, during the weekly farmer's market at the Barnyard Shopping Village. The Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP) will be on site with their Bloodmobile and staff from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Blood donors will receive five farmer's market coupons, as well as the chance to win a $25 Barnyard dining gift certificate, compliments of the Barnyard and the Monterey Bay Certified Farmer's Market.

No reservations are needed to donate blood; however, appointments can be made by calling CHOMP's Blood Center at (831) 625-4814. Blood donors are advised to eat breakfast or lunch and drink fluids before donating. Snacks and fluids will be available for donors.
