The Barnyard Shopping Village, in association with the non-profit, Monterey Bay Certified Farmer's Market, will host a weekly farmer's market each Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning May 17 - October 25. The Monterey Bay Certified Farmer's Market organization provides local family farmers the opportunity to sell their agricultural produce to the community.

The Barnyard Shopping Village, with its many beautiful gardens and trees, is an appropriate environment to stage the farmer's market. The market will be 75% organic, with vendors selling only agricultural products such as organic honey, olive oil, fruits and vegetables, fresh cut flowers and more. The market will be held rain or shine.

"We are happy to donate the venue for local farmers to share their bounty with our community," said Stephanie Scholderer, General Manager of the Barnyard. "We felt it was something people in Carmel, Carmel Valley, Pebble Beach and Big Sur would welcome and enjoy."

The market dates and times may be expanded in the future depending on the interest and demand from the community. All farmers who participate are members of the Monterey Bay Certified Farmer's Market non-profit organization.
