Avatar the Imax 3-D Experience Comes to Cannery Row
Academy Award Nominated Film to Begin Showing March 6th

Avatar sweeps us away to a magnificent world, where a reluctant hero embarks on an epic adventure, ultimately fighting to save the alien world he has come to call home. The story is told through the eyes of Jake Sully, an ex-Marine now confined to a wheel chair. He is recruited to travel light years to the human outpost on Pandora, where corporations are planning to mine a rare mineral key to solving Earth's energy crisis. When the energy corporation threatens the survival of Pandora, Jake must rally the people of Pandora, the Na'Vi, to fight back for the fate of their world.
When Cameron first developed the concept for Avatar 15 years ago, the technology to realize his vision did not yet exist. After four years of production, Avatar introduces us to a new cinematic experience where revolutionary technology and special effects become one with the characters and emotion of the story.
Avatar IMAX 3D will begin showing Friday thru Sunday at 11:30am (matinee pricing), 4:10pm and 8:30pm and Monday thru Thursday at 4:10pm and 7:30pm.
The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D, currently playing at the Cannery Row IMAX, will continue showing Friday thru Sunday at 2:45pm and 7:20-pm and Monday thru Thursday at 1:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:00pm.
