Ausonio Incorporated Selected to Build “green” Chartwell School on Former Fort Ord
Castroville, Calif. - September 2, 2005 - Ausonio Incorporated has been selected to build the new Chartwell School located on the former Fort Ord. The new school aims to be platinum certified by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design's (LEED) rating system, which demonstrates the leadership of Ausonio Inc. and Chartwell in their respective industries. The LEED Green Building Rating System is a standard that measures sustainability, how well the design and construction process reduces life cycle costs, conserves natural resources and enhances the quality of work life for its occupants.
With only nine platinum certified "new construction" buildings in the entire world, Chartwell School will be at the forefront of innovation on the Monterey Bay. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Tuesday, September 6 at 10am at the site of the new Chartwell School, One Numa Watson Road at Fort Ord.
