Ausonio team recognized for design-build of Boys and Girls Club Harden Youth Center in Salinas

CASTROVILLE, Calif.-Ausonio Incorporated has been selected as a finalist by the Associated General Contractors of California (AGC) in the Contribution to the Community category for the 2004 Constructor Awards for the Boys and Girls Club Harden Youth Center in Salinas. The AGC of California, the voice of the construction industry since 1920, is an organization of responsible construction firms and industry-related companies dedicated to skill, integrity and responsibility in improving our physical environment.

The AGC Constructor Awards program recognizes the diversity and ingenuity characteristic of the construction industry. The program highlights the challenges and is the hallmark of the members of the AGC of California.

"We are honored to have been recognized as a finalist in this category in particular," said Ausonio Inc. President, Andrew Ausonio. "This project has received overwhelming support from the community and we are proud to be affiliated with such a valuable organization like the Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County." As a finalist, Ausonio Inc. will be eligible for the coveted bronze "Constructor" sculpture award, which will be announced April 24, 2004 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco during the annual Awards Banquet.

Ausonio Inc. is a past award recipient and finalist of the coveted Constructor Award. In 1988 they won the Excellence in Client Service for the Papal Visit Project, Monterey; in 1997 were selected as a finalist in the Meeting the Challenge of the Difficult Job for the Paradise remodel, Carmel; in 1997 were the winner in the Contribution to the Community for the Calvary Chapel project in Monterey; and in 2003 were the winner in the Meeting the Challenge of the Difficult Job for the LifeSparc Facility in Hollister.
