MONTEREY, Calif. - March 12, 2009 - The Monterey Bay Chapter of the American Culinary Federation (ACF) is holding its 35th Annual "Chef of the Year" Dinner & President's Ball on Sunday, March 22, 2009 in the Ferrantes Bay View Room at the Monterey Marriot Hotel at 6:00PM. Tickets are available for $100.00.

Members of the Monterey Bay Chapter of the ACF will recognize an esteemed peer with the prestigious "Chef of the Year" Award. This year's recipient is Chef Mary Pagan, Chef/Owner of the Culinary Center of Monterey. Bert P. Cutino, Certified Executive Chef (CEC), American Academy of Chefs (AAC), and past ACF National Chef of the Year (1988), will honor Chef Pagan, along with Student Culinarian of the Year, Christie Greenwall, CPC; Purveyor of the Year, Sierra Meat Company; and Celebrated Chef, Mark Ayers of the Park Hyatt Carmel Highlands Inn and The Hyatt Regency Monterey.
