MONTEREY, Calif. - April 22, 2009 - The local's favorite hang-out Schooner's Bistro on the Bay in Monterey, California, has debuted delicious new menu items for diners to savor while enjoying some of the best views of the Bay. The lunch menu now features three new appetizer, sandwich and fish specials seven days a week.

Some of the new menu items include:

Chef's Daily Lunch Specials:
Appetizer of the Day - Sugar Cane Skewers of shrimp, chicken, and beef with an apricot glaze

Sandwich of the Day - Grilled Chicken Melt with grilled onions, bacon and tomato, and Jack cheese gratin

Fish of the Day - Grilled Swordfish, with scampi angel hair pasta, roasted tomato and capers

Appetizers and Salads:
Crispy Tuna and Asparagus Sushi Roll drizzled with Wasabi mustard and red Curry

Roasted Baby Beet Salad tossed with Arugula, goat cheese and Pine nuts, roasted pineapple and pomegranate vinaigrette

Sandwiches and Specialties:
Grilled Chicken with Basil Ravioli, grilled asparagus and artichokes, in a roasted tomato butter sauce

Herb Broiled Turkey Breast Club Sandwich with avocado, sprouts, tomato, and bacon with basil Aïoli

Dinner Entrees:
Pink Pepper and Ginger Seared Ahi Tuna sushi cake, pineapple orange butter

Grilled Chicken with Basil Ravioli with grilled asparagus and artichokes, in a roasted tomato butter sauce

Angus New York Steak, Rib Eye Steak, or Filet Mignon cooked over oak and apple wood with herb garlic butter rub
