SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Oct. 22, 2009 - The Santa Cruz Lodging Association elected its new slate of officers at its yearly meeting last week in Santa Cruz. Dilip Patel, the operator of Knight's Inn in Santa Cruz was named Board President; Pravin Patel, Guest House Inn, Santa Cruz Beach Inn; Red Roof Inn of Watsonville, vice-president; and Merry Crowen, Carousel Inn and Sea & Sand Inn, secretary-treasurer.

Also named to serve on the board were Victor Patel, National 9, for motels under 30 units; Paul Zech, Seaway Inn, Continental Inn, Best Western Capitola, and Best Western Watsonville, for 31-75 units, and Norbert Relecker, Chaminade Resort and Spa, for 76 units and above.
