MONTEREY, Calif. - March 21, 2008 - "Thoroughly Modern Millie," the high-spirited 1920s musical romp that has taken Broadway by storm, debuts at Santa Catalina School in Monterey April 11. With a full score of new songs and bright dance numbers, "Thoroughly Modern Millie" is a story of love and intrigue, with adventurous flappers, dashing young men, and a dragon-lady of a villainess.

Book by Richard Henry Morris, music by Jeanine Tesori, new lyrics by Dick Scanlan "Thoroughly Modern Millie" is the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. It's a time in New York full of intrigue and jazz, a time when women are entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior are changing forever. Based on the popular 1967 movie starring Julie Andrews and Carol Channing, the stage version of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" includes a full score of new songs and bright dance numbers.
