San Francisco, Calif. - June 4, 2008 - The San Francisco Food Bank, which distributes enough food for 66,000 meals per day in San Francisco, is set to receive its first massive truckload of canned diced tomatoes from SK Foods tomorrow. The delivery is part of one of the five largest donations to food banks in California history, a response to statewide food shortages due to the rising costs of food and fuel.

WHAT: First delivery of one of the largest donations in California history. The first truckload of approx. 2,800 cases of tomatoes will be unloaded at the San Francisco Food Bank. With resources declining at food banks throughout the state, SK Foods was quick to respond with a donation of more than 82,000 cases of 15 oz. canned diced tomatoes in multiple regions throughout California--nearly one million cans of tomatoes.

WHEN: Thursday, June 5, 2008. Truck arrives at 10:00 AM.
