MONTEREY, CALIF. – Paragon Drug & Alcohol Testing has recently opened in Seaside, becoming the Monterey Peninsula's only facility dedicated solely to drug and alcohol screening. Both a sample collection and a test site, Paragon specializes in drug screening for pre-employment, post accident, random testing, reasonable suspicion and routine periodic testing and serves government entities, businesses and private individuals in all their drug and alcohol testing needs.

Paragon provides employers with the accurate information they need to make informed decisions about potential hires and about current employees. Employers receive same day test results by fax or email for five and ten-panel tests; and it takes only two days to receive lab-confirmed results. These screenings are confirmed by a medical review officer and are required most often by government agencies, especially the Department of Transportation (DOT).

To ensure the accuracy and integrity of its results, Paragon uses anti-tampering techniques, including thermometers on sample-collection cups, and when samples are sent out to lab, they are monitored closely by a strict chain of custody.

Paragon provides accurate results at the lowest cost to employers and offers discounts to those employers who engage in yearly contracts.

Owned and operated by Monterey-native, Ryan McGilloway, a Certified Professional Specimen Collector and a Certified Breath Alcohol Technician, Paragon is a member of the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA), an organization promoting the highest possible standards for the industry. Paragon is also a member of the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and the Seaside-Sand City Chamber of Commerce.

Paragon is located at 1123 Fremont Blvd, Suite B, in Seaside. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday by appointment. After-hours testing is available by request.
