MONTEREY, Calif. - July 30, 2009 - Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa will be the exclusive caterer for the VIP President's Club at this year's California International Air Show, known locally as the Salinas Air Show. This will be the first time the Air Show will have a sole caterer, as it traditionally has offered several smaller food booths.

To support the event, the Monterey Plaza will be donating their time, culinary staff and will be soliciting food donations from local vendors. "The Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa is pleased to provide services for the Salinas Air Show and the many local charities who will benefit from the event," said John Narigi, Vice President and General Manager for the hotel.

The Monterey Plaza Hotel will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Air Show. The menu will include a sausage, eggs and pancake breakfast, and will have a variety of lunch and dinner selections available.

The 29th Annual California International Air Show is August 7th through 9th at the Salinas Municipal Airport, and will feature The US Navy Blue Angels & Golden Knights, Red Bull Racer Mike Goulian as well as a number of other performers. Gates open at 4:00pm Friday evening, and at 9:00 am on Saturday and Sunday, with show scheduled to start at noon.
