MONTEREY, Calif. - February 27, 2009 - Over 100 associates of the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa gathered on the hotel's outdoor plaza, sipped champagne and sampled hors d'oeuvres as Monterey Mayor Chuck Della Sala and General Manager John Narigi unveiled the hotel's Mobil Four-Star Award. For the past two years the hotel management and staff have been working to achieve this status, and now join the ranks of a select few hotels in the United States and Canada-137-that have earned the award this year.
