MONTEREY, Calif. - May 3, 2007 - The Monterey County Young Professionals Group (MCYPG) will be holding a second spring mixer on Thursday, May 17, 2007, from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at Monterey Live, located at 414 Alvarado Street in downtown Monterey. This event features live music, a fresh venue, and a casual atmosphere for mingling with other young professionals in their 20s and 30s from around Monterey County. The MCYPG urges attendees to bring 15 business cards to share while networking. Admission is $10 per person and includes complimentary hors d'oeuvres. There will be a no-host (cash) bar.

Founded in 2002 by Lisa Thomas, Elizabeth Diaz and their colleagues, all of Armanasco Public Relations, Inc., the MCYPG remains dedicated to offering young professionals in their 20s and 30s a career and business development resource. The MCYPG also provides valuable networking opportunities for young professionals to forge new relationships and establish business contacts, thus promoting and encouraging their emerging roles in the local community.

Monterey Live is a unique, intimate, 100-seat performing arts venue, nightclub and café. Recently expanded, owner Vince La Rocca has given the original adobe a fresh new appearance and vibe. Monterey Live includes a theater-style room with a small proscenium stage and excellent, state-of-the-art, lighting and sound systems. Performance offerings range from Blues to Bluegrass, Rock to Folk, Classical to Jazz and Big Band, and R&B and Soul to World Music.
