SALINAS, CALIF. - September 13, 2007 - NESTech Management Group, Inc. (NESTech), a platinum sponsor of this week's Salute to Agriculture events, has established itself as a community partner. Supporting a variety of causes throughout Monterey County, NESTech is living up to their tagline of "building a better place to live, work, and play," long before breaking ground on their first development project, Boronda Meadows.
"We believe in this community and are proud to be an active partner in its well-being. NESTech is committed to providing balance, community rewards and solid infrastructure for families to flourish," commented Jeff Fortin, CEO and Managing Director of NESTech.
In addition to renewing their commitment as lead supporter for this year's Salinas Oldtown Association Holiday Parade of Lights, NESTech has also lent support to several other causes this year including: the Monterey County Film Commission Screenwriters Contest, National Steinbeck Center's Big Read, Salinas Valley First Day Festival, Monterey Pop Festival, Palma High School, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Leadership Salinas Valley, the Salinas Senior Center, The Gateway Center, the Boy Scouts of America, Community Foundation for Monterey County and the American Little League.
With the assistance of local businesses, leaders and community individuals, NESTech is implementing the vision and desires of the Boronda Community, as outlined in the Boronda Community Plan adopted by the Boronda Redevelopment Project Citizens Advisory Committee. Boronda Meadows will incorporate a variety of community serving benefits, while maintaining the rural character of Boronda and increasing the economic development of Monterey County and City of Salinas. Anchored by a business park and 40 percent affordable and workforce housing, Boronda Meadows will meet the community's needs.
